THE LOCATION Just south of downtown Tokyo and the Ginza district, Shiodome is a futuristic-seeming area of skyscrapers and elevated pedestrian walkways that connect buildings and elevated train stations. The area is served by nearby Shinbashi station, which conveniently links to the Roppongi and Shibuya areas through the Ginza line. Although the immediate area is a bit bare busat night, the area is well-known to taxi drivers and a quiet retreat from the bustle of Tokyo. The hotel is also a 10-minute walk from the very popular Tsukiji Fish Market, a top tourist destination, especially for jet-lagged foreigners who go for the sushi breakfast that's served as early as 5:30 a.m.
